Bio
Precious Moment Violin Service (PMVS) is an Ottawa-based business that specializes in providing a variety of customized violin arrangements and string performances for private and corporate events.
​
The founder and leading violinist of PMVS, Essie Liu, is a union member of the American Federation of Musicians. Essie aspires to create meaningful connections between music and life, and actively supports cultural exchange, education, environmentalism, and humanitarian causes through diverse live performances. She is a regular freelancer with the Orchestre symphonique de Gatineau, the Ottawa Symphony, and professional chamber music groups across the National Capital Region.

From the Far East to the West Coast, Essie has performed with the National Centre for the Performing Arts (Beijing), Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Calgary Arts Orchestra (Principal Second), Tri-Tone Tap Dance Ensemble (First Violinist), REDL Flute Quartet (Founding Member), Symphony of the Kootenays, Western Symphony Orchestra (Assistant Concertmaster), Kingston Symphony, Niagara Symphony, Ontario Pops Orchestra, and a variety of electric bands.

Essie holds a Master of Music in Literature and Performance (Violin) from Western University. A vivid Latin dancer at heart, her latest project, Mysterious, intertwines her combined passion for the classical instrument and the social dance floor. Follow along @vio.chata.
